- What is the structure like?
The First Series consists of a three-way meeting (to identify and assess your needs) followed by twelve alternating sessions (six 50-minute counseling sessions with Gail and six 60-minute private yoga sessions with Susan). The series lasts from six to thirteen weeks, depending on the frequency.
Your Junipermoon work may be continued on a monthly basis indefinitely once the First Series is complete, with three-way meetings scheduled as necessary among alternating sessions.
- Do I already need to practice yoga?
Definitely not. Yoga sessions are tailored to your personal needs and level of experience.
- What if I already have a therapist?
Junipermoon can be utilized as a primary therapeutic setting or as an adjunct to established individual or family counseling.
- How will this affect my long-term yoga studies?
Very beneficially. Yoga historically was taught one-on-one. This level of personal attention allows for detailed refinement of poses and careful feedback regarding alignment, use of energy, breath, and residually arising mental, spiritual, and emotional issues. Questions or concerns from group yoga instruction may be explored in depth. If desired, you will be given specific suggestions for your home practice.
- Do you see couples or families?
Yes, with adjustments to the session structure and fee schedule as necessary.
